{let the training begin}
I'm all singed up & ready to start training for the San Antonio Rock-n-Roll Half Marathon in November! I've got a few partners in crime to go through the misery with me....My friend Dawn, my sister-n-law Lisa and her husband Ron, and even my mom will be doing it with me! This will be the longest I've run...and will definitely be the longest I will EVER run - no WAY will I ever put my body through a full marathon!
Brandon will be getting up with the kids in the morning so I can run before he starts work - of course, he's out of town right now, so I will have to wait until he gets back...but, I'm VERY ready to get back into a routine with running! Can't wait for November!

You are going to rock it, Jaimee! I did the San Diego Rock-n-Roll marathon (back in my serious marathoning days!) and it was so much fun! You might be surprised, once you do a half, and want to challenge yourself to a full...it is kinda addictive.
But the 1/2 is my definite favorite distance. We'll be cheering for you from over here!
It is so much easier to train when you know you have a race ahead of you. I did a half marathon many, many years ago. I planned on running for 10 minutes walking for 2, but once I started running on race day it was like I could not stop. It was such a great experience.
That's awesome that you have several friends to support you too. Way to go!!!
Woot!
I read your post title and thought we were going to be talking about potty training again! HA!
Good luck with your training. It will be great! : ) I honestly can't wait to get back to running, hopefully by the end of the year...
You go girl! I wish you all the best, you will do great!
Sweet! I have to agree with Elaine - I thought it was going to be more potty talk...though I'm all ears about that as well!
Keep us updated on progress and we'll be rootin' for you for sure!
On a sidenote...we visited my brother and SIL in OKC last week...if that's remotely close to what your weather is like - holy cow! It's H-O-T and H-U-M-I-D! I give you even more credit knowing your conditions! :)
Good for you! Keep us up on your training and cheer for you.
how awesome...wish my knee wasnt shot...love to hit that race, too.
You go girl! that's awesome, you're gonna rock it and have fun doing it! I wish my heart didn't make me so nervous about any physical exertion.
Go YOU! That is awesome -- and perhaps your training will motivate me. I am thinking of doing another half in October...and this time I am going to make sure I train for it...running it last year without training was such a BAD idea!
You are going to do so well, I know it! Best of luck!
